Here is another panel icon I just completed of Archangel Michael. Dimensions are 20cm x 30cm, written in egg tempera with 23.5 kt gold leaf burnished by hand, varnished with olifa. The icon was blessed at Santa Venera Parish Church and shall be going to Europe.

The question was asked, “Was Saint Michael a devil?” The answer is a resounding ‘no!’ Michael is the archangel who defeated Lucifer and his angels when these rebelled against God. Lucifer was the seraphim who became a devil – the Devil – by his pride, envy and refusal not to serve God.
The question was asked, “Is Lucifer stronger than Michael the archangel?” The answer is in the negative. Archangel Michael has the full strength and support of the Holy Trinity… Read More »
The question was raised, “Where was Michael when Lucifer was still a good angel?” The answer is simple. Michael was also in heaven but he was just a lowly archangel, instead of the prince of the heavenly host which he became after fighting for God.
The question was asked, “Is the archangel Michael greater than the archangel Lucifer?” The response is multiple in nature. Lucifer is Satan. He is not an archangel but a demon – the Devil. Neither was he ever an archangel before he decided that he wanted to be like God and above God. Michael is the… Read More »
